Richard Burrell, Seras UK, Non-executive Chairman spent a day at our Tilbury site finding out more about our drivers and gaining real insight into what they do. This gave him a chance to meet our Tilbury transport manager, Adam Finn, see the fleet of LGV’s and spend the day with Dean Turner, one of our HGV drivers, out on the road.
Richard is looking forward to seeing the Tilbury site again and said of his time spent with the team, “Many thanks to Dean for hosting me on two trips to Canning Town and Bermondsey. I very much enjoyed meeting and chatting with him. I learned a great deal and found the day fascinating. I was also impressed by your approach to health and safety as well as your excellent driving which is never easy in London traffic and when I’m asking you constant questions!” He adds, “and apologies for leaving a muddy carpet in your spotless cab!”
This is a great example of how the Seras team work together across the business and how that helps develop deeper commercial understanding and insight.
We look forward to Richard’s next site visit.
