From the 5th – 11th of September 2026, one of our Seras drivers, Chris Hurst, will be undertaking a unique charity challenge and swapping his Seras truck (based out of Tilbury) for an F1 race transporter. He will be driving this transporter across Europe to raise funds for Combat Stress and Mission Motorsport.
Combat Stress is the UK’s leading charity for veterans’ mental health. They provide specialist clinical treatment and support for a range of mental health conditions including PTSD, anxiety and depression.
Mission Motorsport supports wounded, injured and sick service leavers by using motorsport as a pathway to help with recovery, confidence and employment.
Both charities do some incredible work in supporting those impacted by injury and mental health issues. This challenge is about raising awareness and vital funds to make a difference to everyone that these charities support.
Chris Hurst said, “Working for Seras and volunteering for Mission Motorsport has been a key part of managing my PTSD. This is a really great opportunity to be able to give back to two charities that work so hard to support veterans. Raising awareness and vital funds is key to making a difference to those impacted by injury and mental health issues.”
If anyone would like to donate to this charity challenge and support Chris you can do so here. Every donation, whatever the size, helps these two incredible charities to continue supporting veterans.
