Transporting the wood chippings from 3,550 Christmas trees is no mean feat but it was all in a day’s work for our drivers Dean Turner and Frankie Skinner.
For the sixth year running we provided two of our HGV Scania UK trucks to support Farleigh Hospice Christmas Tree Recycling Service, an annual fundraising campaign enabling local residents in mid Essex to donate unwanted Christmas trees. The trees are shredded into wood chip to be used in biomass boilers with the Hospice benefiting from the value of the chip. The campaign is expected to raise around £73,000 for the Hospice.

Luke Preston, Head of Logistics at Seras UK, said: “We’re pleased to have supported Farleigh Hospice’s Christmas tree fundraiser again this year. Supporting communities is a key part of our ESG strategy and this is a very worthy cause.”
Shout to all our amazing people who made this possible including Ian Wormleighton, Luke Preston, Dean Foggoa, Adam Finn and of course our fantastic drivers!
