Trevor McAleese
Trevor joined the business in 2020 as General Manager of Ireland and Wales and became Head of Contracts in 2022. Trevor’s role is to lead on all aspects of the company’s contract lifecycle management, ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, and fostering strong customer relationships.
Claire Spencer
Claire joined the business in December 2016 and manages and oversees risks and opportunities for the business. Claire’s team strive to ensure we maintain the highest standards of quality in our biomass fuel. This includes providing technical input to day-to-day operations, plant performance, material improvements and any new projects.
Jon Miers
Jon joined the business in April 2021. He leads a team covering all aspects of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE). Jon’s team owns the HSQE strategy which strives to continuously ensure that our people are safe and healthy. Jon works more broadly with other teams on our carbon reduction programmes and emissions data, supporting our wider ESG Strategy.
Claire Hawkes
Claire joined the business in February 2021. She heads up the procurement function which is responsible for procuring more than 1 million tonnes of fuel each.
Andrew Bradley
Andrew Bradley has been with the business since 2010 and was made Head of Finance in December 2021. He leads the finance function including day-to-day financial operations to strategic budgeting, ensuring that our organization remains not only financially sound but also aligned with our broader objectives.
Lacey Jevans
Lacey has been with the business since April 2019. She became Head of Projects and Service Delivery in October 2023. Lacey leads on developing the improvement and technology roadmap to transform Sustera into a digital-first business. She also oversees the day-to-day technology function of the business and ensures it is aligned with our business strategy.
Aaron Whitrow
Aaron joined Sustera in 2016 and was appointed Head of Operations in February 2020. Aaron leads our national site operation teams across the North West, Yorkshire and the South East. He has oversight of the production of around 1.4 tonnes of biomass fuel every year. This includes ensuring our fuel meets high quality requirements and is delivered safely to our customers across the UK.
Sara Stephens
Sara has been our Head of People since January 2019. She leads on the delivery of our people strategy, ensuring that people are at the heart of our business. Sara also leads on learning and development, employee benefits, health and wellbeing and diversity and inclusion. Sara’s team works more broadly across the business on charity and volunteering to support our wider ESG Strategy.
