Great North Run completed for Andy’s Man Club

Fundraising Great North Run for Andy's Man Club

On Sunday 7th September, Thomas Parkinson and Andrew Hevey took part in the Great North Run on behalf of one of our brilliant charity partners – Andy’s Man Club.

Congratulations to both of them on not only completing the half-marathon but also for raising an incredible amount of money for the charity. Their target was £500 and they’re just over that on £515. Their fundraising page is still open for any last-minute donations https://www.justgiving.com/page/tom-parkinson-2

Andy’s Man Club is a men’s mental health charity that create safe spaces where men can open up, talk and support each other without judgement. Suicide is the biggest killer of men under the age of 50, so their work is truly life changing. They run free talking groups across the UK and encourage men to open up and discuss what’s on their mind. You can find out more here – ANDYSMANCLUB – It’s Okay To Talk

They achieved fantastic results!

  • Thomas knocked 4 minutes off his personal best!
  • Andrew completed his first ever half-marathon – an incredible achievement, especially after losing 4 stone as part of his weight loss journey in the run up to the event.

Thomas and Andrew would like to say thank you to everyone who has supported them with this event. All donations however big or small make a real difference to the support that Andy’s Man Club can offer to those in need.
